Take the challenge:
Take the Tyler Fit City Challenge and run the 5k at the inaugural Tyler Rose Marathon. You do not have to be a runner to qualify. Challenge yourself to walk the 3.1 mile course if you cannot run. Start/Finish:
The 5k will start and finish near the Heart of Tyler Downtown square just as the marathon & half marathon. This is a good way to get some exercise and watch the marathoners at the same time. Walkers and strollers are welcome in the Tyler Rose 5k!

Training Programs:

5k Awards:
We will have Tyler Rose 5k awards for the top overall and master's male and female finisher. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in the following age groups: 8 and under, 9-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

First Class Event T-shirt:
The Tyler Rose will have a first class event short/sleeved cotton shirt for all 5k entrants.

Packet Pickup and Late Registration:
We will have packet pickup at the new Courtyard by Marriott Tyler, 7424 S Broadway 75703 on Friday October 8 from 12 Noon to 6 pm and on Saturday October 9, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You will also have the option of getting your packet race day at the event.

Parking Map - There should be ample parking for everyone with 3-5 blocks of the event start/finish line. Make sure you do not park at any church parking lots and do not park anywhere there may be tow signs.

The Tyler Rose will use ChronoTrack timing system, which records your time precisely from start to finish. Chrontrack is the latest timing technology. Your timing tag is now disposable and will come with your bib number when you get your race packet. No more lining up to get your timing chip race morning, and no waiting to have your timing chip retrieved at the finish line! Awards will be based on gun time.
